The U.S. Melges 24 Class Association is delighted to announce the name sponsor for the Melges 24 World Winter Series - QUANTUM and to name the series Melges 24 Quantum World Winter Series.

With the 2016 Melges 24 World Championship in Miami Florida fast approaching, and around 35 of the 100+ participants arriving from outside the USA, the big question for the overseas teams is: How do you compete on another continent? At first glance, the costs can seem astronomical, but there are many ways of doing it.

With three weeks to go to the 2016 Melges 24 World Championship in Miami it's a great time to present some of the teams and people passionate about the Melges 24 boat. The majority of the Melges 24 class is a Corinthian fleet of all amateur crews who race within the open competition but are also scored separately. However, the boat tends to attract many top level sailors including Olympians who want to get into high level racing without compromise.

Time to get back in the water has almost come for the International Melges 24 Fleet. The teams that are preparing to compete for the 2016 Melges 24 World Championship, taking place in Miami, Florida from November 26th to December 3rd, have just 30 days left to make sure their boats and crews are in perfect shape for the start of the event.

The International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) and the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association (USMCA) are thrilled to be welcoming you all to Miami in almost one month’s time.

The Line Honors 2016 Melges 24 U.S. National Championship concluded today, hosted by the Lake Geneva Yacht Club (LGYC) Forty seven teams traveled to participate from all across North America and around the world to race the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association’s (USMCA) biggest event.

The Line Honors 2016 Melges 24 U.S. National Championship comes home this weekend to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, hosted by the Lake Geneva Yacht Club (LGYC) Teams have traveled to participate from all across North America and around the world to race the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association’s (USMCA) biggest event, and there’s no better place to do that, than right where it all first began.

The 2016 Melges 24 World Championship is just eight weeks away and we are aiming for over 100 boats representing over 20 countries to be at the starting line.

San Francisco surgeon and Corinthian sailor, Robert Harf (USA 77 Bones) and reigning Melges 24 World Winter Series Champion, Bruce Ayres (USA 851 Monsoon) have already won by converting their drawing prizes to auction items for Doctors Without Borders, the designated charity of the U.S. Melges 24 Class.

The Line Honors 2016 Melges 24 U.S. National Championship is only four weeks away. Our title sponsor Line Honors, and associate sponsors Bluesmiths and Hutchinson Sports, have contributed performance gear for a prize drawing open to all skippers who have paid their entry fee by September 16th. The drawing will happen Friday night.

The deadline for submitting final International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) nominations and motions has been extended to September 19, 2016.

We (USM24CA) have recently discovered that at the forthcoming International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) taking place this coming November, there may be several IM24CA Executive Committee positions that will be up for nomination.

At the forthcoming International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) taking place this coming November, the America’s (North and South) need to re-appoint a Vice Chairman to represent its interest on the world council.

What a great regatta, in a great place to sail, run by a great yacht club. That is what most competitors thought about the GTYC Melges 24 Invitational. The were just one kink, the weather, and we all know that this one is out of the hands of the sailors and race committee.

As preparations continue for the 2016 Melges 24 World Championship, the Organizing Authority is in fever-pitch, full-on event planning mode.

The International Melges 24 Class Association's Annual General Meeting 2016 will be held in Munich, Germany on November 5. The AGM will be preceded by the Technical Committee Meeting on November 4.
