EXTENDED CALL FOR IM24CA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS BY NOON (EDT) SEPTEMBER 8

We (USM24CA) have recently discovered that at the forthcoming International Melges 24 Class Association (IM24CA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) taking place this coming November, there may be several IM24CA Executive Committee positions that will be up for nomination.

That said, the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association has extended its call for nominations until 12 noon, Thursday, September 8 (EDT). We are accepting nominations for the following IM24CA Executive Committee positions:

- Chairman
- Vice Chair (Americas)
- Treasurer
- Member (Americas)

Any and all nominations should be sent to USMCA Class Admin, Joy Dunigan prior to this Thursday, September 8 by noon (EDT). Per the IM24CA Constitution, all nominees shall be a Melges 24 boat owner and current full member of their National Class Association for the past two (2) years.

You may also respond directly to this email with your proposed nominee.

If proposing someone other than yourself, please be sure that you have consulted with them and that they are fully accepting of the nomination, as well as any and all responsibilities related to their possible appointment.

2016 USMCA MEMBERS : ADVANCE NOTICE ON ELECTION / NOMINATION PROCESS
Due to the close deadline set forth by the IM24CA, the US Class will provide each of you with a voting ballot on Thursday, September 8 at 1 P.M. EDT via email to nominate the candidates for each IM24CA office. Please be prepared to cast your vote immediately.

This ‘speed election’ will begin at 1 p.m. EDT Thursday, September 8, and end at 3 p.m. EDT Friday, September 9, 2016.

This is in order to provide USMCA staff adequate time to make the IM24CA’s submission deadline of the same day.
