FAQ
HOW TO DO I COMPETE AS A CORINTHIAN?
Competing as a Corinthian team in the Melges 24 Class offers teams the opportunity to compete within an all-amateur division built on fairness, accessibility, and sportsmanship. Because the Melges 24 is an international one-design class governed under the authority of World Sailing, Corinthian eligibility is determined through the official World Sailing Sailor Categorization system.
To qualify as a Corinthian team, every crew member must hold a valid World Sailing Sailor ID, complete the official World Sailing categorization questionnaire, and maintain current Group 1 (amateur) sailor status through World Sailing. In addition, all teams with the intention of competing in the Corinthian division at any Melges 24 event must submit a completed Corinthian Declaration form for each regatta in order to qualify.
