Important Notice: World Sailing Sailor Categorization Temporarily Processing Manually
Attention Melges 24 Teams — especially for those aiming to compete as Corinthians at the forthcoming North American Championship taking place in Miami on January 23-25:
World Sailing is currently experiencing technical issues with its online Sailor Categorization system. As a result, all new, renewal, and World Sailing ID plus categorization applications are being processed manually.
This update is particularly important for teams intending to compete in Corinthian divisions, as valid and current World Sailing Sailor Categorization is required. Teams are strongly encouraged to review the expiration dates of all crew categorizations as soon as possible. Please be advised that manual processing may take longer than the standard online turnaround, so early submission is wise.
Download this Form (Word Doc.)
At this time, sailors who need to:
Apply for a new World Sailing Sailor Categorization
Apply for a World Sailing ID plus Categorization
Renew an existing Sailor Categorization
… must complete the official World Sailing Word application form and submit it via email to: categorization@sailing.org.
Until further notice, this manual process will remain in place. Corinthian teams should plan accordingly and allow additional time to ensure their documentation is approved well in advance of competition.
