The 2019 U.S. Melges 24 National Championship happens on May 22-26, and hosted by the Fairhope Yacht Club (FYC), in Fairhope, Ala. Three days of one-design racing on Mobile Bay, Alabama!

The RC will plan to run up to 3 races each day, however, 4 races per day may be run to anticipate future weather disruptions or to make up for races not sailed during previous days.

Restaurants and Nightlife
The Downtown area of Fairhope has numerous restaurants and bars. All in close proximity to the Yacht Club.
History
The Alabama / Mobile Bay are is chocked full of history. It has been very influential in many historical events including the Spanish/French/English and of course, the U.S. Civil War.
SHOPPING
Downtown Fairhope has boutiques galore. It is very friendly to the other half that may be sitting at the dock while you race.
Surrounding Area
Fairhope is surrounded by a treasure of small beach towns that would make a great day trip since you are already in the area. Mobile, Orange Beach, Biloxi and Pensacola Beach are all within a 45 minute drive.
Gyms AND FITNESS
There are several local and national chained gyms and fitness facilities within jogging/walking distance to FYC.
