He’s our last Melges 24 regatta winner of 2022, and our first of 2023… congratulations are in full order for Drew Freides racing Pacific Yankee, with Bacardi Winter Series Event No. 1 champion crew members Nic Asher, Charlie Smythe, Alec Anderson and Mark Ivey. Freides came into the Melges 24 Class just a little over a year ago and has clocked several top-ten finishes, but this event marks his first big regatta win.

Hosted at Shake-A-Leg-Miami, three races are scheduled per day, for a total of six races. Absolutely stunning conditions greeted teams as they arrived on the course and it stayed that way throughout the four races completed.
