Bacardi Miami Sailing Week delivered nine amazing races in 2017, and at the top — 2017 Melges 24 Bacardi Champion Kevin Welch on Mikey with crew members Jason Rhodes, Ian Sloan, Serena Vilage and Ross McDonald.

In a heated three day battle at the first event of Sailing World Magazine’s NOOD Regatta Circuit, Kevin Welch’s Mikey took top honors in St. Petersburg over the past weekend.

The early entry deadline for the St. Petersburg NOOD has been extended until Monday, February 6, 2017. Originally set for earlier in the week, the deadline now gives Melges 24s the opportunity to get signed up to race without the hassle of late fees.

Heads up Melges 24s! The early entry deadline for Bacardi is this Sunday, February 5. This event is always a lot fun, and with a few Melges 24s already signed up to race — poised to shake off the dust, ramp up the speed and prepare for Nationals in Charleston — now is the time to register and pay the entry fee to take advantage of the early bird sign-up discount.
