2026 Melges 24 Canadian National Championship Set for Halifax Harbour

2026 Melges 24 Canadian National Championship

The Melges 24 fleet heads north this season as organizers prepare to host the 2026 Melges 24 Canadian National Championship in Halifax, Nova Scotia. With three full days of racing on the open waters of Halifax Harbour and shoreside hospitality at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS), the championship promises a competitive yet community-driven experience for both professional and Corinthian teams.

The event will feature separate Open and Corinthian divisions, ensuring high-level competition across the fleet while preserving the class’s strong owner-driver tradition. Each race day will be complemented by nightly dinners and social gatherings, reinforcing the Melges 24 class culture where dockside camaraderie is as important as performance on the water.

Visiting teams are encouraged to extend their stay and take advantage of everything Halifax has to offer—including the Canada Sail Grand Prix, scheduled for the following weekend. It’s a rare opportunity to combine a national championship campaign with world-class SailGP action in one of Canada’s premier sailing venues.

An early bird discount applies to registrations completed before March 1. Competitors can find complete details and register online via YachtScoring.
