Troublemaker Takes the Win at M24s of Summer in Tampa

Have Melges 24 will travel ~ Lake Lanier teams joined the DIYC fleet for racing at the M24s of Summer

Tampa, Florida — Beautiful sailing conditions, competitive racing, and a great gathering of Melges 24 sailors highlighted another successful edition of M24s of Summer, hosted by Davis Island Yacht Club this past weekend.

A small but highly competitive fleet of local and traveling teams came together for the event, completing four races before weather conditions prevented additional racing on Sunday.

Leading the charge was Eddie Gary and the Gill Race Team aboard Troublemaker, claiming the overall victory. Alex Korakis and Slippery finished second, while Davis MacLeod racing Mojo made the trip from Lake Lanier Sailing Club to secure third place.

While only four races were completed, there was no shortage of talent, competitive spirit, or enthusiasm. With great racing on the water and plenty of camaraderie ashore, M24s of Summer once again delivered the kind of weekend that makes Melges 24 racing so enjoyable.

A special thank-you goes to Davis Island Yacht Club for welcoming the fleet and hosting another fantastic weekend of racing.

With M24s of Summer now complete, the Southeast Racing Series heads toward its final event of the season. Stay tuned as the fleet prepares to bring another great year of Southeast Melges 24 racing to a close.
