North American Sailing Series Rankings Updated Through U.S. Nationals
With seven of 11 events now complete, the 2026 Melges 24 North American Sailing Series rankings have been updated through the U.S. National Championship in Traverse City.
Peter McClennen’s Gamecock is firmly holding the lead in the Open standings, followed by Bora Gulari’s Mavi in second. Laura Grondin’s Dark Energy is currently ranked third, with Dick Kalow on Mustang, and Steve Boho’s The 300 rounding out the current top five.
In the Corinthian division, Eddie Gary’s Troublemaker has moved into the overall lead following Nationals. Mike Dow’s Flying Toaster is ranked second, followed by Fred Rozelle on Rustler, Marty Jensen on Zig Zag in fourth, followed by Canada’s Mike Gozzard on RUSH.
With the points still relatively close and a few events still remaining, there is plenty of racing ahead before the 2026 North American Sailing Series champions are decided. Event No. 8—the World Championship is up next, giving teams another opportunity to strengthen their positions as the season enters its final stretch.
