Book Dockage For 2026 U.S. National Championship Now

The 2026 U.S. Melges 24 National Championship is set for August 14–16 in Traverse City. While full regatta details are forthcoming, participating teams need to act on securing dockage right now.

Historically, Elmwood Township Marina has been the primary location for Melges 24 teams, and it has recently moved to a new reservation platform. The system will not be open to the general public for another week, but Melges 24 teams have early access to book transient slips for the Nationals period.

We strongly encourage early reservations. In past years, teams arriving without dockage have faced significant challenges due to peak-season demand. Early access may also include certain applicable discounts. Visit this link to reserve your dockage today!

Update Dec. 12:
Thanks to everyone who booked their dockage for the 2026 Nationals

Every single one of Elmwood’s 30' transient slips are booked.

For those that missed out — as of right now, they still have a few 38-footers, and a couple 40-footers available. If anyone without a reservation yet cares to book one for that week/end, they have created an additional 10% discount code (MELGES10) to use at checkout to help soften the blow of the increased fees for a larger slip.

For those who missed out on a slip reservation, Elmwood will also allocate/block off up to twelve truck/trailer parking spots in their main lot for Melges race contestants. Their normal rate for overnight parking is $20/night. Anyone who want to secure these overnight parking spaces can email Elmwood direct at deputyharbormaster@elmwoodmi.gov. They will add you to the list until it's full. Melges 24s be grouped together in the outer row of parking nearest to M-22.
