Ayres + Vigrass Take Home Big Wins at Bayview

The Bayview One Design Regatta marked the fifth event on the 2023 U.S. National Ranking Series. Hosted by the Bayview Yacht Club, ten Melges 24s enjoyed a great weekend of racing. Eight races rounded out the three day weekend in Detroit with Bruce Ayres’ Monsoon and a mixed crew from Straightarrow to take the win before heading off to Denmark to race at the World Championship that takes place on June 24 - July 1.

Ayres and his team is clearly ready to go as they cleaned up with a string of solid first place finishes. Peter Shumacher’s Marianne challenged to finish second overall, with Corinthian Champ Harry Vigrass sailing Tomfoolery capturing the final podium position, third.
