21 Teams on the Line at Grand Traverse Invite, August 21-22 - Quantum Great lakes cup Event NO. 2

Grand Traverse Invitational, scheduled for this weekend, August 21 and 22, is pleased to announce 21 entries as of end of day Monday, August 16. This long standing Melges 24 invitational will be in 2021 Stop #7 in the US Ranking Series, and Event #2 in the Quantum Melges 24 Great Lakes Cup.

The regatta boasts the best attendance for a Class event since Charleston Race Week in April. Strong participation from robust fleets in Charlevoix, Muskegon, and Traverse City, Michigan, all of which have been growing by double digits in the past few years, dominate entries.

U.S. Ranking Series standings could be dramatically impacted by the event, with all but the top two boats at risk if they do not participate. A similar situation exists in the Quantum Great Lakes Cup, were Steve Boho's The 300 , and Mike Dow's Flying Toaster will surely unseat Bora Gulari in 1st and Harry Melges IV in 2nd, unless they show.
