2025-2026 U.S. Melges 24 Class District Governor Call for Nominations

Dear Melges 24 Class Members,

The time has come to nominate and elect U.S. Melges 24 District Governors for the 2025-2026 term. This is a perfect opportunity to serve the Class above and beyond just racing at events.

The nomination period is officially open and will close on Monday, October 7, 2024 at midnight Pacific time.

The election period will start on October 9 and close on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. 

If you, or if you know a Melges 24 Owner that would be a perfect District Governor, please send your nominations to the Class Admin via email prior to the October 9, 2024 deadline.

When you nominate a candidate, the candidate must be a 2024 U.S. Melges 24 Class Member and currently own(s) a Melges 24. Also, prior to submitting a candidate(s) name, speak with them and confirm that they wish to serve the Class if elected.

Expectations of the District Governor is as follows:
A District Governor shall be a current Melges 24 owner and maintain a valid membership with the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association. A District Governor shall, work closely with the USM24CA Admin to create and maintain a roster of Owners within their district (cell, email, etc.), create and maintain a schedule of events for their district area, be available for USM24CA board meetings and conference calls, work diligently to recruit new Owners, be available for Q&A within his or her district, meet and greet teams at your own district/local events, encourage Class membership, and member voting.
