Columbia River Gorge One Design Regatta Sets West Coast Championship Series in Motion
Cascade Locks, OR - July 22, 2019 - The Columbia River Gorge One Design Regatta hosted by the Columbia Gorge Racing Association (CGRA) is kicking off the West Coast Championship Series this weekend (July 26 - 28) at Cascade Locks, Or.
Entrants are getting ready for a weekend full of breathtaking vistas, freshwater, friendly people, and - most importantly - plenty of breeze. Eleven Melges 24 teams from California, Washington, Hawaii, and Nevada are traveling to Cascade Locks for three days of high-performance one-design sailboat racing. With well-managed courses and small fleet racing, this is the perfect end of the summer regatta.
On Friday, July 26 check-in begins at 0830 - 1000 at the CGRA Race Office. The competitors meeting with be at 1030 with the First Race Warning to follow at 1200.
Entry fees include complimentary boat storage during the regatta, post-racing refreshments, and admission to the regatta dinner for all members of the crew.
The Port of Cascade Locks requires a storage fee of $5.00/day for trailers over 10 ft. in length. Trailer fees can be paid with online registration or at check-in at the CGRA Race Office. Marina moorage for coach boats is $10.00/day on a space-available basis. Contact the CGRA Race Office at susan@cgra.org for details.
