Melges 24 North American Championships Sponsorship Announcement

(Traverse City, Mich.) - As released by Quantum Sails - With 44 boats already signed up, the Melges 24 North American Championship will be a regatta not to be missed. The Grand Traverse Yacht Club, located on the pristine fresh waters of Lake Michigan and West Grand Traverse Bay, is home to 14 Melges 24s, making it one of the largest local fleets in the country and a natural choice to host the 2019 North Americans.

“The regatta is setting up to be an epic event for the class,” says Scot Zimmerman, a member of the local fleet and the regatta chair. “We will have live music, dinners, libations, merchandise vendors, and onsite support for racers,” says Grand Traverse Yacht Club Commodore Liz Zimmerman. 

Adding to the excitement, the event is pleased to announce Quantum Sails’ sponsorship as the official sailmaker of the 2019 Melges 24 North American Championships. Headquartered in Traverse City, Quantum is fully committed to supporting local sailors, especially the Melges 24 class. Quantum Sails will be onsite to provide support and overnight service to all competitors, post-race dock talks, morning weather briefings, and more.
