CA NO. 1 : 2017 U.S. MELGES 24 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2017 U.S. National Championship (Act 2 of the 2016-17 Quantum World Winter Series and Stage 1 of the NorAm Tour) is inching ever closer, and with only a week or so left to fully prepare, here are some useful infos to review prior to registration.

ENTRY FEE
If you have not paid your entry fee, please take a moment and do so. Simply, login to the Owner’s Corner at the Official Event Yachtscoring Website and complete your entry with payment.

CREW LIST
Please be sure to take a moment and complete your crew list online at the Official Event Yachtscoring Website. Everyone loves to know who is sailing aboard your Melges 24, so if at all possible do this sooner rather than later.

CORINTHIAN COMPETITION
The official entry deadline for your team to enter as a Corinthian is Monday, April 1.
 If you believe your team qualifies for the all-amateur division, please complete a Corinthian Declaration Form (or, visit this link: http://www.usmelges24.com/pdf/USMCACorinthianDecForm.pdf ) and return to Event Chairman Randy Draftz via email. Remember: every crew member must possess a valid Group 1 Sailor ID in order to qualify.

CLASS MEMBERSHIP
2017 Class Membership is required for every team that races. If you have not yet joined the U.S. Melges 24 Class Association, please visit this link and join today. Join the USM24CAView 2017 U.S. Melges 24 Class Membership List.

1000 – 1900: Registration and Measurement
1000 – 1700: Crew Weigh-in
1700: All boats afloat
1730 – 1900: Competitors Meeting and Reception at Charleston YC

Friday, April 7
0900 – 1000: Registration and Measurement
0930: Harbor Start
1100: Initial Warning Signal
1630: Daily Awards Post Race Beverages and Snacks

Saturday, April 8
0930: Harbor Start
1100: Initial Warning Signal
1900: Championship Dinner

Sunday, April 9
0930: Harbor Start
1100: Initial Warning Signal
1400: Last Race
1700: Awards with beverages and snacks

*Eight (8) races are scheduled. As many as three (3) races each day may be run. The OA reserves the right to modify the program due to weather conditions or other causes. The above schedule of events is tentative and subject to change.
