CA NO. 3 : 2017 U.S. MELGES 24 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The U.S. Melges 24 Class is thrilled to be welcoming you all to Charleston, for what looks like to be shaping up as a very BREEZY weekend of Championship racing!

Here are some gentle event reminders and in particular, please pay attention to the updated events schedule details:

WEIGH-IN
Weigh-in for the Melges 24 fleet will take place at Charleston Yacht Club on Thursday, April 6 starting at 1000. An additional Friday morning weigh-in session takes place at ChYC also from 0900-1000.

EVENT SCHEDULE

THURSDAY, APRIL 6TH
• 0800 to 1900 Launching
• 1000 to 1900 Registration and Measurement
• 1000 to 1700 Crew Weigh-in
• 1300 - Practice Racing

- Please be aware that the weather may be on the nasty side, so stay close as this is subject to change. If it does, a clinic presented by Nationals and World Winter Series sponsor Quantum may take place at the Charleston Yacht Club. Stay tuned...
• 1730 to 2000 Competitors Meeting and Reception
- The Charleston Yacht Club is thrilled to welcome the fleet and present a great night of live music, a pulled pork dinner and drinks to usher in the Championship.
• 2000 All boats afloat

FRIDAY, APRIL 7TH
0900 to 1000 Registration and Measurement 
0930 Harbor Start 
1100 Initial Waring Signal 
1630 Daily Awards Post Race Beverages and Snacks

- Join the fleet at the Charleston Yacht Club for first Friday! Heavy for d'oeuvres will be served. Join the fleet for drinks and daily awards!

SATURDAY, APRIL 8TH
0930 Harbor Start
1100 Initial Warning Signal 
1900 Championship Social at Charleston Yacht Club

- Join the fleet for a post-racing/pre-dinner social at Salty Mike’s Deck Bar for drinks and daily awards

SUNDAY, APRIL 9TH
0930 Harbor Start 
1100 Initial warning signal
1400 Time of the latest possible warning signal 
1700 Awards with beverages and snacks at the Charleston Yacht Club
