There is only one World Championship.

With the Canadian Nationals now complete, attention turns to the U.S. National Championship taking place in Traverse City this August 14-16 and then, ultimately, Harbor Springs, Michigan, where Little Traverse Yacht Club (LTYC) will host the 2026 Melges 24 Worlds, September 19–26.

Whether you've already registered or are still finalizing your plans, now is the time to focus on Harbor Springs. As preparations continue to build toward September, this special World Championship edition newsletter brings together key information every team needs—from registration and event documents to Pre-Worlds details, accommodations, and logistics.

Pre-Worlds: Register Now

Looking to experience the racecourse early? The Pre-Worlds Regatta offers competitors a chance to race on Little Traverse Bay, fine-tune boat setup, and gain familiarity with local conditions ahead of Worlds. Scheduled for August 29–30 at LTYC, the event serves as an ideal tune-up for teams planning to compete, and is expected to attract many of the same competitors who will return for Worlds just three weeks later.

Charter Boats: Opportunities Available

Looking to charter a boat for Harbor Springs? Several great Melges 24s are currently available for charter for the 2026 World Championship. Teams seeking a a boat are encouraged to reach out to the USM24CA Class immediately.
