2025 Quantum Great Lakes Cup Series Kicks Off May 17!

The Melges 24s are headed to Michigan for the Muskegon Spring Championship, the opening act of the 2025 Quantum Sails Great Lakes Cup Series. With 20 teams already on the roster, including defending champion Dan Berezin racing Surprise, this first of four high-caliber events promises fierce competition and great camaraderie. Thank you to title sponsor Quantum Sails as they are supporting the event for a fifth year, continuing to fuel the energy and excellence behind the Series!

McClennen Clinches 2025 Southeast Inland Championship

Congratulations to Peter McClennen’s Gamecock who dominated the 2025 Southeast Inland Championship with an impressive 1-1-1 scoreline to take the overall win, giving him a firm lead in the 2025 Southeast Racing Series. North American Championship + Worlds Update

Save the following dates and events on your calendars! NORs for the 2025 U.S. National Championship (November 14-16) in Pensacola, FL followed by the North American Championship in Miami (December 11-14) are currently in progress and will be available soon + online registration. Stay close! The 2026 U.S. National Championship will be hosted by the Grand Traverse Yacht Club in Traverse City, Michigan ahead of the 2026 Worlds in Harbor Springs (tentative dates set for August/Sept). Put it on the calendar!

Eight Bells for Frank Davenport

The U.S. Melges 24 Class mourns the loss of longtime sailor and beloved community member Frank Davenport, who passed away at the age of 89. Frank made his final Nationals appearance in 2023, sailing alongside his son and grandson—a testament to his lifelong love of the sport and family.
